OPHTHALMOLOGIST 

Duties and responsibilities: Ophthalmologists are people who study and look at the eye. They investigate diseases of the eye. They can be viewed as eye doctors but Ophthalmologists actually have permission and are allowed to do eye surgeries.  

Salary: They usually make $197,700 per year

  

Education: Completion of medical school which is 3-8 years then another few years of internships 

  

Demand or need for this profession:  2014-2024 an increase of 14%   

Reflection: I might want to be an ophthalmologist because the pay is very good also because operating eyes seem cool.
